My Approach

My approach is warm and intuitive....fine-tuned to the needs of each individual - using what I call 'whole-being awareness' to access and explore your sense of 'deep being'. Because the earthy core of psychotherapy is our relationship with our own being – our constant companion. As a natural 'wise elder' engaged in the work of ‘transpersonal psychotherapy’, my specific focus is ‘spiritual self-development’ – within which is space to explore any living-life here issues that may arise. This is the soul journey work of ever-deepening awakening and connection with the immense reality of this which IS.

Engagement in the process of therapy is considered a genuine investment in true quality of life – yours. While identifying what is likely to work most effectively, I am guided by my sense of you and ‘where you are’. The process of psychospiritual (transpersonal) psychotherapy offers those ready to enter such potentially immeasurably rewarding work the opportunity to do so.

Now, if you would like to take the next step, you are welcome to contact me for a brief chat about your needs in the context of this kind of therapy, and/or to arrange your initial session – by either phone or email.

About Me

I'm now in the 'wise elder' stage of life - a life guided by a warmly playful meditative attitude and life-long process of deep inner exploration (with its beginnings in early childhood).

As a transpersonal psychotherapist with a long-established private practice of nearly 22 years, my professional background begins with my initial training in classical fine art within Oxford University - my art gradually becoming entirely 'transpersonal' as in intuitively-guided, expressing transformative experiencing; special needs education...as teaching assistant; senior nursing assistant in adult acute psychiatric care, and deputy of a day centre for the elderly with psychiatrically-diagnosed conditions. Meanwhile, my personal journey includes all kinds of creative expression (painting, singing, writing), and meditation practice (established in the late 1980s) guiding a life-changing meditative attitude and way of being.

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

Existential issues around death and dying, and the nature of consciousness - as well as any deep concerns arising in the context of our planetary crisis/emergency.
Such as feeling 'different', 'not fitting in', plus gender dysphoria...
With a professional background in mental health work, I'm happy to work with those who have experienced psychiatric care and/or issues - particularly BPD/EIPD/ dissociation, and anxiety/depression.
…meaning 'feet-on-ground spirituality': eg: whole-being-conscious-awareness (sensing/intuition) ...within a process of conscious awakening (towards a state of non-duality/oneness), mindful pragmatism, wonder and curiosity, and an attitude of meditative warm-heartedness. This is profound personal development. This kind of work is gently transformative and well-grounded, nourishing what I call 'deep being'. Drawing on meditation and mindfulness, this transpersonal kind of process is designed to open a way to profound experiencing...and the development of a deep self-acceptance or 'coming home'.
