My Approach

I work with clients on both a short and long term basis. My approach is flexible, and very much dictated by the needs of the client. The work will often flow between current issues; a client’s past; what’s happening in the room/Zoom remote platform (either within the client’s body or between us) and to deeper, existential or spiritual issues.

My formal training is in integrative counselling, which means that I work from a base of different theoretical approaches. This allows me to practice in a flexible, creative and open way that is unique for every client.

At the heart of my work is the relationship that develops between me and my clients. I passionately believe that people can grow and change, no matter how difficult their situation may seem. I also believe that our bodies and minds are inextricably linked, and that symptoms can occur within the body because of psychological disturbance, repression or trauma.

About Me

For many of us there are times in our lives when we don’t always feel able to talk to the people we know about our problems; we don’t have anyone to talk to; or we need more professional help. This is where I come in.

I have a BSc Honours degree in Integrative Counselling and am a fully registered UKCP Psychotherapeutic Counsellor. I also have a Certificate in Mindful CBT; a Certificate in Changing Relationships - Couples Work; an Award in Cruse Bereavement Care Supervision; and a Certificate in Clinical Supervision (endorsed by the BACP). My most recent areas of training have been in Compassion Focused Therapy and Neuroscience as it applies to counselling.
