About Me

I am offering low-cost in-person supervision spaces to newly qualified and early career counsellors and therapists as I work towards accreditation with UKCP as a clinical supervisor. Find out more on my website and complete the enquiry form if you'd like to explore how we might work together: www.fionaturnbull.co.uk/supervision.

I'm a fully qualified gestalt psychotherapist based at Rooms for Therapists off Clapham High Street in south London and at Pimlico Psychotherapists and Counsellors in Westminster. I have a strong commitment to supporting my clients live more fulfilling and satisfying lives. I am accredited with UKCP, registered with BACP and hold a Master’s degree in Psychotherapy from London Metropolitan University as well as an advanced practitioner diploma from the Gestalt Centre London.
I offer long-term, open-ended psychotherapy as well as shorter courses of therapy. I have extensive experience working with themes of loss and grief as well as supporting clients through relationship difficulties, major life events and transitions, self-esteem issues, anxiety and depression, fertility challenges and issues relating to motherhood, the psychological impact of physical health conditions and illness, as well as sexual and domestic violence.
I treat every client as individual, building a trusting and safe relationship which enables clients to become more aware of themselves and develop more self-compassion. I embrace difference and enjoy supporting clients from diverse backgrounds facing a broad range of life challenges.
I adopt a holistic approach, working with the whole person – thoughts, emotions, body sensations, spirituality and creativity. I do not believe in forcing change but rather creating a space where clients can safely increase their awareness and explore different possibilities in their lives. My style is gentle, warm, down-to-earth and intuitive.
Alongside my private practice, I was employed for several years as a senior counsellor in a hospice. Previously I managed a project for Cruse Bereavement Care offering peer support to people bereaved through a loved one’s drug or alcohol use. Before training as a therapist, I was a communications professional working in central government and the charity sector.
I work with adults aged 18 and over and am also a qualified group psychotherapist. My sessions take place weekly. I see clients on Tuesdays to Thursdays and my sessions are during working hours. I'm not available to see clients in the evening. My fee is £80.
I'm based at the following practices:
Rooms for Therapists, 2 Lion Yard, Tremadoc Road, Clapham, London, SW4 7NQ on Tuesdays
Pimlico Counsellors and Psychotherapists, 6a Bessborough Place, London, SW1V 3SG on Wednesdays and Thursdays
