My Approach

Danielle offers Online Relational Psychotherapy to Adults. She works with Mindfulness, which enables clients to meet difficult feelings, painful emotions and traumatic experiences in a supportive and confidential holding space.

Mindfulness Based Psychotherapy, also known as Core Process, is an integration of Buddhist psychology and Western Psychotherapy, which understands that awareness is transformative. The awareness of our own nature enables an opening into change and healing, so that suffering can be eased as we allow spacious, compassionate acceptance to emerge. ^

Danielle has been trained in working with the body, developmental and attachment issues, relationship difficulties, and trauma.

Mindfulness Psychotherapy helps clients to meet difficult emotions, painful feelings and traumatic experineces in a more contained way. Through the practice of dual awareness (exploring the past whilst being in the present) clients can avoid merging with, or re-living the painful memories and experiences.

She supports clients in working with embodied sensations, bringing awareness to the body’s subtle reactions and feeling tones, in the moment. This exploration of self is done in relationship and Danielle provides a safe and confidential holding environment for the client to be deeply heard and seen.

Danielle believes that through becoming more intimately aware of ourselves, our patterns of attachment and our previously hidden reactions and behavioural responses, we can open into a more self accepting way of being.

This relational psychotherapy can also help to ease self-critical thoughts, feelings and judgements. As we learn to meet ourselves with gentleness and compassion change can occur, allowing a greater sense of connection in ourselves, our relationships and our experinces of being human.

Osteopathy was Danielle's initial profession. She trained at the British School of Osteopathy graduating in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science honours degree. She practiced as an Osteopath for over 20 years, predominantly with Biodynamic Cranial Osteopathy
