My Approach

I am an existential-integrative psychotherapist. Since I gained my accreditation in 2010, I've worked for different organisations and have seen clients in my private practice. Over the years, I've attended various workshops and undertaken different trainings focused on working with individual clients as well as with couples. I work in a relational way, aiming at helping my clients to reconnect with themselves and with others and feel more whole in themselves.

About Me

I studied philosophy for my undergraduate degree and later gained a master in existential psychotherapy. I moved to the UK in 2002 and lived in different areas of the UK over the years. The continuous changes in my personal life enabled me to find belonging in myself, in the way I relate to the world.

I work with

  • Couples
  • Individuals
  • Private healthcare referrals

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

As an existential therapist I like to think of anxiety as a reminder of our aliveness and of the fact that we care about our lives. Anxiety can also be a revealing sign of inner contradictions which cannot be left ignored. Also, permanent anxiety can reveal deeper disconnections (from ourselves, others and the world) which, if not healed and resolved, can push us towards more destructive solutions - like addictions, self-harm or can push us towards compulsive ways of being.
Our individual issues come up as a consequence of disconnection from the world and from others. Relationship therapy has the power to help people reconnect to themselves, to others and to the world.
I see depression as another disconnection from ourselves and the world around us. Our motivation for life comes from engaging ourselves with our emotions and allow ourselves to be truthful to ourselves. It's a process which involves engaging with our values, becoming more self-accepting and self-understanding and learn to have the courage to embrace who we are and feel effective in our lives.
Identity problems can be experienced in many ways. I work phenomenologically to understand each person's journey in life and connect with their stories and with how they would like their lives to unfold. To become more connected with oneself, one needs to develop a self-compassionate voice, which can enable connection with one's needs and ability to get those needs met.
I like working with any mental health issue as I see them as signs of disconnection from ourselves and the world, I see them as stuck energy which cannot travel and keeps us fixated in certain ways of being and afraid to change, afraid to hope for something different.
