With 28 years of diverse experience, I have had the privilege of working with children, young people, and families across a variety of roles. My career journey has included positions such as Family Support Worker, Residential Social Worker, Mobile Intervention Worker (supporting young people involved in gangs and their families), Clinical Practitioner, and currently, a UKCP-registered Family & Systemic Psychotherapist / Supervisor. In addition to my clinical practice, I have taught an AFT-accredited training program and hold a senior clinical practice role.
I feel privileged to have been in such influencing roles (both on myself, other professionals, and clients), as I feel this has enabled and promoted my skills in being an effective Psychotherapist / consultant. These experiences have enhanced my ability to collaborate effectively within teams, across agencies, and in multidisciplinary environments. I pride myself on being able to listen and appreciate diverse perspectives while articulating my own views in a constructive manner.
In addition to my organizational roles, I maintain a private practice where I offer supervision and consultation to psychotherapists (both in training and qualified) from various models, all through a systemic lens. I also work with a wide range of individuals—including children, young people, adults, couples, and families—addressing a variety of challenges and dilemmas across the social care, healthcare, fostering, and youth justice sectors.
