I have over twenty-five years of experience working with individuals, couples and families with a variety of difficulties including relationship strains; life transitions; intense and difficult emotions and experiences; issues around identity, life-long conditions and mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, eating disorders.
I am a qualified Family and Systemic Psychotherapist with background in Clinical Psychology and Creative Art Therapy and have a wealth of experience in the NHS and private sector, working with diverse communities. I am also a certified supervisor, offering supervision, training and consultation to professionals from a variety of clinical backgrounds.
I work part-time for the NHS as a Clinical Team Lead in a CAMHS team and hold an independent private practice offering services online and in-person in Hertfordshire: Welwyn Garden City, St Albans and Hertford.
My therapeutic approach is informed by relational models from the systemic theories as well as from other psychological modalities including CBT, DBT, Attachment-Narrative, Mindfulness-based techniques, Non-Violent Resistance and Communication. I strive to foster a collaborative relationship with those I work with, making it a flexible, creative and respectful partnership.
My website provides a wealth of information about myself, the services I offer, my therapeutic approaches and what to expect. An initial consultation free of charge will help to consider how we can work together and if it would be a good fit for you. Please visit www.couplefamilytherapy.co.uk
