I am a fully qualified systemic family psychotherapist and supervisor with a background in Clinical Psychology. I have experience working with families, couples and individuals of all ages, including children and young people, experiencing a range of difficulties.
I have experience working for both the voluntary sector and for the NHS, supporting young people and their families in different settings for more than 10 years. As a systemic and family psychotherapist I have a special interest in couple and family work as well as enjoying working with young people and adults on a 1:1 basis. I have particular experience working with those who have been affected by eating disorders, both in community and inpatient settings, as well as with those who feel that their lives and their relationships aren't quite the way they would like it to be, or feel different and unsettled in themselves.
I also work in private practice where I aim to offer a compassionate, open, and collaborative approach inspired by different approaches to suit the people who seek my services.
As well as offering therapy, I also provide supervision, training and have a special interest in research.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
