Person-Centred and Experiential
I trained as Person-Centred and Experiential Psychotherapist at the Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute (MSc, Distinction). I have experience working with a wide range of clients of different genders, ages, sexual orientations and cultures with a varied presentations and depth of issues. I have undertaken additional training that has allowed me to work with clients who have experienced ongoing childhood trauma, past abusive relationships (physical/ emotional) as well as clients with ADHD and autism (self or externally diagnosed). I have also undertaken a 8 week mindfulness training course that is particularly helpful for clients who use dissociation as a coping strategy. Some of my work is long term, helping clients address and move through the aftereffects of past trauma whilst others come to talk through a current set of immediate circumstances that need resolving. Wherever you are, I will meet you where you are.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
