I utilise the natural creativity of each client and explore issues through verbal and movement interaction, object work, somatic awareness and mindfulness. Movement Psychotherapy is an integrated approach that incorporates psychodynamic and humanistic models of relationship while engaging the client in a whole-body process of discovery and self-awareness.
Since qualifying as a Dance Movement Therapist in 1990 (at Laban Centre London) I have gained further qualifications as a Certified Movement Analyst (CMA), a Sensorimotor Psychotherapist, and a Supervisor using Creative Approaches. My practice is with adults seeking relief from anxiety, depression, PTSD symptoms, chronic physical health issues, and relationship difficulties.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
