I am a psychoanalytic psychotherapist and counsellor who has been practising in London for thirty five years. I was a founder member and, for over ten years, a director of Deptford Psychotherapy Centre in South East London. I provided open-ended psychotherapy to local residents, as well as time-limited counselling and psychotherapy to NHS patients referred by local GPs. I also worked for many years as an on-site counsellor at a local GP practice.
I have been Chair of my professional training organisation twice and until recently sat on the Executive Committee of CPJA, one of the largest UKCP Colleges.
I now work in private practice from comfortable premises in London E14 (Poplar/Limehouse), easily accessible from Langdon Park DLR, or Bow Road/Bromley by Bow tube stations. There is also visitors parking. I aim to make psychotherapy as accessible and affordable as possible and always seek to work to the highest ethical standards.
I usually find face to face work more useful but do work on Zoom with existing clients as circumstances require. The sessions I offer are sixty minutes long. I also enjoy having clients who are trainee psychotherapists or counsellors themselves and I satisfy the 5 year post-qualification/accreditation requirement.
