Cognitive Analytical Therapy is a collaborative approach that explores relationships, past and present and some of the relationship dynamics that we may get caught up in which affect our ways of relating to ourselves and others.
It can be used for short term or longer term work, and combines different therapeutic traditions (cognitive and analytic models) in a helpful way.
I am a UKCP registered CAT Psychotherapist, Supervisor and Tutor, with 25 years experience as an NHS therapist in a range of specialist clinics.
Since 1999 I have practised as a specialist CAT psychotherapist in Secondary Care in an NHS London teaching hopsital, where I specialise in treating a range of conditions, including depression and anxiety, trauma and loss, disordered eating including binge eating disorder, and long-term health conditions.
I have a special interest in working with ex-boarders, and following a post grad diploma and specialist supervision, I offer short and longer term therapy to explore the psychological impact of boarding. I also have an interest in relationship issues, including divorce and seperation, and completed further training and supervision and CPD at Tavistock Relations to support this.
