My approach to working with you is to start from where you are, and encourage a commitment to yourself and your personal development. The aim is to build a safe and regular thinking space to explore all aspects of your life. Together we would think about what isn't working for you, and recognise repeating patterns in your relationships, and in other areas where difficulties arise, such as work. Awareness of these patterns is, I believe, the first step towards change. I offer both brief or long term therapy, with more than once weekly sessions where indicated. An initial consultation session will help us plan what might be best for you. I am committed to aim to work in a way which incorporates an intersectional approach in relation to issues of power, privilege and position.
I am a training psychoanalytic psychotherapist and training group analyst and supervisor with Institute of Group Analysis and Association for Group and Individual Psychotherapy with many years experience of working in private practice, the third sector and the NHS. I work with individuals, couples and groups in person with spaces in a twice weekly group Tuesdays/Wednesdays 6.45-8.15pm(Archway), once weekly group Monday 6.15-7.5pm (Warren Street). I can also work online where required. I am involved in many of the IGA trainings including the Diploma in Supervision course, which I have adapted and co-convened in St Petersburg and Moscow. I also have experience of working on block trainings.
In the NHS I am Consultant Group Analyst at Camden and Islington Foundation Trust where I head up a thriving group therapy training placement, and a Perinatal Psychotherapist for North East London Foundation Trust where I offer parent-infant therapy, and have adapted group analytic thinking to develop groups with mothers and babies as equal group members. I have long term experience of training, and supervising students from different counselling and psychotherapy organisations and have held senior roles in AGIP and IGA I offer training, supervision and consultancy for a range of NHS trusts.
Specialist experience includes early attachment issues, eating disorders, sexual trauma, reproductive and fertility issues, loss and bereavement and work with refugees.

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
