I believe in the importance of tailoring my approach to suit the client.
I foster the same approach in my role as a supervisor.
I work with adults and adolescents over the age of 18, both short term and long term, as well as offering supervision.
I am a UKCP registered Adult Psychotherapist with over 20 years experience working with Adults.
In 2004 I completed my Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Postgraduate Diploma training with the Westminster Pastoral Foundation in Kensington. I then graduated with an MA in Child & Adolescent Integrative Psychotherapy and for many years worked with children in different settings including mainstream schools, therapeutic centres and with the Youth Offending Service. I have completed the LINKS Adoption training, which provides me with the skills and knowledge needed to work with adopted adults and adolescents. I now focus my practice on Adults and Adolescents.
I provide face-to-face therapy, and also can work using play and art material, which can be very freeing and therapeutic, especially so if the Adult has suffered early childhood trauma. I have a private practice at home.
My practice is in Wokingham. The nearest station is Winnersh Station on the main line from Waterloo and Reading and is a 10 minutes walk away.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
