How I work:
I see my job as helping you make sense of what you are doing, thinking and feeling with a view to choosing how to live your life better. I will help you sort out ways of dealing with your problems and help you feel more in control of your life.
I am interested in helping people to view their lives as a 'whole' (health, relationships, thoughts, creativity, sex, work etc.) not just as a problem or series of problems to be solved. In a safe and respectful space, my role is to help you try out new ways of being wholly who you are.
Life can be confusing, stressful, and overwhelming. I want to create a comfortable, collaborative space to help you explore obstacles and strengths and find your stride in a challenging world. My goal is to give you a place where you can foster self-awareness and learn to access the inner resiliency that will help you move forward.
I enjoy working with individuals who are ready to change the way they are feeling, thinking, and interacting with others. My method as a therapist is to be respectful, direct and compassionate.
I have been a therapist for 14 years.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
