My aim is to help my clients create real change in their lives, whether that is about addressing what is going on inside themselves or in their relations with other people, or both. I use the widely accessible theories of Transactional Analysis (TA), such as ego states, psychological games, life scripts and emotional hungers to help my clients better understand themselves and other people. I also uses principles from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), and Mindfulness so that I can adapt my approach to the individual needs of my clients.
I hold an MSc in Transactional Analysis Counselling and Psychotherapy and have extensive experience in both the private and public sector, working with individuals, couples and groups.
I work with a wide range of clients from a variety of cultural backgrounds. They may be struggling with relationships, addiction, bereavement, depression, anxiety including obsessive-compulsive disorder, stress, or be adult survivors of childhood abuse. I also have specialist training in working with eating disorders, particularly overeating and binge eating, and I am keenly interested in new research looking at the role of nutrition in psychological disorders.
