Many challenges in life may prompt you to consider psychotherapy. Issues such as pressure at work, relationship difficulties, significant life changes, or bereavement may be among the many challenges and complexities of life. In response to these challenges, you might find yourself experiencing anxiety, depression, stress and potentially find yourself struggling with low self-esteem or a lost sense of identity. Additional to these responses to life's challenges, feelings of isolation and difficulty in finding a sense of meaning and purpose can emerge. Equally you may want gain a greater understanding of yourself and your world. Therapy can offer you a space to feel heard, understood, and supported to process and navigate your experiences.
As an integrative transpersonal psychotherapist, I draw upon carefully selected and combined theories in order to address your experience in a holistic manner, looking at how we can heal the traumatic experiences of our lives and turn them into opportunities to grow and deepen our awareness. We may explore early life experiences and relational patterns, present existential concerns regarding relationships, occupation and how you inhabit and move through the world, through to growth and experiences that extend beyond out beyond personal horizons towards collective experiences at greater scales, from being part of a family, friendship group, society, culture, species, and towards being an expression / part of ever-increasing greater wholes - as relative to your own perspective / beliefs / ideas.
We can draw upon a range of ways of working, as best suit your preference. Examples might be -
dialogue and self-narrative - telling your story and brining the pieces together to deepen understanding and meaning; working with bodily/somatic feelings; nervous system regulation exercises e.g., breath work and mindfulness to help develop resilience and balance; drawing on cognitive, philosophical or spiritual frameworks to gain perspective, acceptance and discernment in terms of how to take action in life; working with creative intuitive practices such as automatic drawing and writing and analysis of the content, as well as working with symbolic imagery, visualisation and dreams to access intuitive and unconscious levels of your experience, to better understand the deeper processes within your psyche, their influences and to access inner guidance.
Please get in touch via email to book a free-of-charge 20 min consultation via Zoom, where we can discuss your needs and hopes for therapy further, and see if we might work well together.
Do you experience yourself as a sensitive, creative and thoughtful person, simultaneously interested in big-picture perspectives, fine details and potential deeper meanings (or their absence) in life? Perhaps you have spent your life feeling somewhat out of place, or at odds with the world, seeking that which always feels just out of reach? Perhaps you prefer to keep external structures of identity at arms length, or recognise aspects of your experiences reflected in personality typologies based around introverted intuition and feeling, descriptions of neurodivergent ways of being (you may be diagnosed as or self-identify as aligning with a specific neurodiversity,) or you might identify as a sensitive person.
All of the above may bring with it experiences of living with stress, overwhelm, depression, anxiety, difficulty with relationships, boundaries and finding direction, purpose and meaning in life.
If any of the above feels familiar to you, then I can offer you a warm and supportive space. Working together, we can explore and deepen your self understanding, find ways to connect to aspects of yourself that may have been set aside in order to deal with life's challenges, and discuss / experiment with new ways of being that feel in alignment with your values and authentic nature, to help you feel more connected to yourself and the world you are part of.

I offer sessions online via zoom for individual adults (18+). Each session is 50mins, held on a weekly basis (with regular breaks that roughly follow the school holidays) with a preference towards long-term work, however, I am happy to discuss short-term focussed work also.
I offer a sliding fee scale between £45-80 per session. This is on a 'pay-what-you-can-afford' basis to help make long-term therapy accessible, affordable and sustainable to you, based on what your budget allows for.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
