I offer a space where you can begin to slow things down and feel safely supported in exploring what’s going on for you. My approach is trauma-informed, intuitive and relational, which means I pay close attention to helping you feel understood, not judged, and able to work at a pace that feels right for you. Over time, this can make it easier to process difficult experiences and feel less overwhelmed by them.
Because I work integratively, therapy is shaped around you. Rather than applying a single method, I draw on a range of approaches to support what you need in the moment. The aim is to help you gain insight, as well as develop tools and strategies that genuinely support you in your day-to-day life.
I also incorporate body-based and mindfulness approaches, helping you to notice how emotions, anxiety and stress show up physically, and to develop ways of feeling more grounded and regulated. As this awareness grows, many people find they are less reactive, more able to pause, and better equipped to respond to life’s challenges.
Part of the work may involve gently exploring family and relational patterns, including those that have been carried across generations. Understanding these patterns can open up new choices, helping you to relate to yourself and others in ways that feel healthier and more aligned with who you are.
Above all, I aim to help you develop a more compassionate relationship with yourself. As self-understanding deepens, it often becomes easier to navigate change, cope with uncertainty, and feel more aligned with your values and who you are.
Looking after and supporting others has always been central to my working life. Before retraining as a psychotherapist, I worked internationally in different corporate, teaching and coaching roles which took me to live in Zurich, Sydney, New York and London. My own therapy has led me to qualify as a transpersonal integrative psychotherapist, mindfulness practitioner in the NHS approved Breathworks model and as an equine assisted psychotherapist.
I am a fully accredited member of UKCP with experience across the NHS, charities and private practice and my own lived experience of trauma which informs my empathy and understanding of how challenging life can be and how difficult it can be to seek support. I work with late teens and adults both online and face to face at my private practice in both Berkshire and Hampshire, as well as offering equine assisted therapy sessions outdoors with my horses in Hampshire.
I believe our earliest relationships shape how we experience ourselves and others, and that many of the difficulties we face, both emotional and physical, are rooted in these relational and attachment patterns. The therapeutic relationship is therefore central to my work, offering a safe, supportive and non-judgemental space to explore things at your own pace.
My training as a transpersonal integrative psychotherapist, means I work flexibly, tailoring the therapy to meet your individual needs and goals. I am interested in understanding your unique experience and supporting you in developing greater self-awareness, inner resources and more helpful ways of relating both in the relationship you have with yourself and the world around you.
I have a particular interest in working with clients together with horses outside in nature and as such did my Masters research on Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP). EAP is an experiential approach that supports emotional regulation and facilitates a gentle yet powerful way to explore emotional patterns, relationships and self-awareness through direct, mindful connection with horses in a natural setting.
I work with a wide range of difficulties including the lived impact of stress, anxiety, depression, trauma and related diagnoses, addiction, grief, relationship challenges, menopause, life transitions and low self-esteem. I also have experience supporting trainee therapists.
Whether working in the therapy room, online or alongside horses in nature, my hope is to support you in making sense of your experiences, strengthening your relationship with yourself and creating meaningful change that feels authentic and sustainable. I see therapy as a collaborative process grounded in curiosity, compassion and respect for your unique journey.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
