I am an Integrative Body Psychotherapist drawing on an embodied experience of being present in oneself and with another. I have over 25 years experience working in private practice and use Biodynamic Massage as a resource, within the context of psychotherapy to develop an awareness of internal sensation and connection to feelings if appropriate. I believe in the importance of creating a safe, contained and authentic space within which to explore what might be troubling you.
My past experience has been working in the front line of mental health - in day centres; crisis work; employment and training and in outreach work. I have worked for over 30 years teaching movement in various settings and specialise in facilitating women only groups.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
