I am trained as a Gestalt Psychotherapist, which means that Humanistic and Relational ideas and concepts influence how I understand and think about people’s problems and difficulties.
I am fascinated by people and human experience and take the philosophical position that all relationship is co-created. That we influence and are influenced by each other and by the world around us. It is through understanding and exploring the process of relating that something new and vibrant can be created. I work from a phenomenological stance, meaning that I am interested in your subjective experience, processes and awareness rather than relying on my own judgements or interpretations. It is these relational and phenomenological elements of gestalt that make it an accessible and exciting therapy, and a powerful medium for change.
Over the past 8 years, I have worked as a psychotherapist and supervisor in a range of settings, including the NHS, higher education and the third sector. I currently work as a Clinical Supervisor for the University of St Andrews.
I hold a Master's Degree in Gestalt Psychotherapy from the University of Middlesex, Certificate in Supervision, as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychology from London Metropolitan University. I am a UKCP accredited Psychotherapist and adhere to their ethical framework.

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
