I am an integrative psychotherapist using Humanistic & Existential Phenomenological approach. Please read 'About Me' section for more detail
My name is Rozmin and I trained at Regent’s College, in London, achieving a Master’s Degree and Post-Graduate Advanced Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy. I am registered with UKCP and I am a Senior Accredited Member of BACP. These are the two main principal regulatory bodies for Psychotherapists and Counsellors.
I have 24 years of experience working as a psychotherapist and counsellor, which has given me extensive knowledge of working with adults and adolescents who present with mental health issues. I also have experience of working with people suffering from trauma, panic attacks, anxiety and bereavement issues. Additionally, I have also worked with long entrenched depression, eating disorders, borderline personality disorder, dissociation and non-epileptic seizures. More recently, my experience has been using a short term solution focussed model with students at the University. Furthermore, I practise Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR) in cases of trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder.
My psychotherapeutic practice model is an amalgamation of the humanistic approach: looking at the mind, body and spirit; whilst always having client choice uppermost, to support existential change, by exploring emerging phenomena within the therapeutic interrelationship. My therapeutic model therefore is integrative, incorporating ideas from several approaches that encompass a Person Centred approach, using Gestalt and Existential Phenomenology.
I speak Swahili and various different Asian languages, practising inter-cultural counselling. I work with individuals on a one-to-one and groups over a short or long term basis. I currently only practise on virtual platform such as Zoom.
