Qualified Psychotherapist in practice with individuals since 1996. I am also a couples therapist since 2005. I am a trained Supervisor on UKCP register of Supervisors. I can provide Supervision to Psychotherapists, Counsellors and others in the helping professions.

I enjoy working with individuals and couples and believe i can provide a warm, holding place for my clients to explore their lives and relationships

I believe that psychological suffering arises from traumatic events in our lives and also from difficulties in our early relationships. By providing a therapeutic relationship that is warm, accepting and authentic an environment is created where it is possible for difficulties to be understood and resolved.
I very much enjoy working with Couples where i see that a great deal of change can be achieved. By providing a supportive and holding relationship it is possible to identify destructive patterns that we can get into in intimate relationships and with compassion and understanding find other more nurturing ways of relating.
My training as a Supervisor has been with The Centre for Supervision and Team Development in Bath. This training is an integrative model which is appropriate for all theoretical approaches and meets the standards for the Directory of Approved Supervisors of UKCP. I have experience with 1:1 and group supervision models. I have provided Supervision to Counselling and Psychotherapy Students and Qualified Practitioners. I have experience and enjoy working in a variety of Organisational settings with staff at all levels including the Hospice movement, Counselling Organisations and in the Sexual Abuse arena. I have particular experience in the area of Adoption.
