I work with people from all walks of life, race, gender and sexual orientation. My style is relaxed, open and direct.
I have a keen interest in humans, and how we relate and identify. More specifically, I am very much interested in narrative change, as in the story you tell yourself about yourself, and how it connects and shapes the interpersonal (how you relate to others), the intrapsychic (how you relate to yourself) and the system (culture, society, organisations). Narrative approach draws upon the rich and diverse schools of Transactional Analysis whilst maintaining its simple and accessible spirit – Our story and its context within the cultural environment.
In terms of modality I sit firmly in the Humanistic school of thought, integrating the richness and diversity of Transactional Analysis, Existential, Systemic, Relational, Psychodynamic, Behavioural and Mindfulness ideas and practice.
I work, supervise and teach about range of issues such as depression, anxiety, self harm, isolation, stuck-ness, couples, relationship, questions of direction, identity, sexuality, and meaning. I am a tutor in Physis Scotland and regularly present and teach on a range of continues professional development subjects around the UK.
I am registered with UKATA as a Teaching and Supervising Transactional Analyst (TSTA-P) and a Certified Transactional Analyst with Psychotherapy speciality (CTA-P). I have an MSc in Transactional Analysis psychotherapy and trained as a Master Practitioner in Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP).
