I am a psychoanalytic psychotherapist and psychodynamic counsellor with more than 20 years experience. I work face to face in London and also online for people who can’t be physically present or live elsewhere in the country or outside the UK.
I work both short and long term with adults from a wide range of backgrounds.
The pandemic has brought challenges and change. Being cooped up continually in the same space or cut off from our usual daily routines and friends and family has been difficult for many. It can lead to anxiety and depression or cause you to look inward at difficulties that you may have forgotten about or not yet felt ready to face.
The aim of psychoanalytic psychotherapy is to improve the quality of your life and to help you work, live and love as close to the way you most desire.
A psychoanalytic approach involves working in depth and is particularly suited if you want to get to the heart of either long-standing or more recent problems. It can help you deal with both conscious and unconscious aspects of your experience and personality that have contributed to making you the person you are today. This can then enable you to understand and work with past and present difficulties, traumas, anxieties, depression and other stuck or overwhelming situations and relationships. Life long problems are challenging to resolve but if you want to find a way of living and working with them that supports you to lead as fulfilling a life as possible then this is what I can help you with.

If this type of therapy sounds like it might be of help to you Why not call, text or email me and we can arrange a time that's mutually convenient to meet. I normally recommend we have an initial assessment meeting. An initial session is an opportunity for us to meet and you to tell me of the circumstances that have led you to look for therapy and for me to assess the degree to which what I offer would be of help to you.
There is no obligation to continue if you decide this approach is not for you.
