Dr Richard Sherry is on the Directory for the British Psychological Society (BPS) Expert Witnesses. He has a focus on Psychological Trauma and stress related issues. Areas including Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (CPTSD); Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD); Stress and Anxiety Disorders are expertly addressed. Dr Sherry’s background and professional training is as a Consultant Chartered Clinical Psychologist, HCPC Reg., and BPS CPsychol, FBPsS; a BPC and UKCP Reg. Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist; BPS Chartered Coaching Psychologist. He is a BPS Psychological Test Registered User. He has an Organisational Consultancy Masters (MA) and an MSc in Occupational Psychology. He is a full member for the BPS Division of Occupational Psychology (DOP). Dr Sherry is a specialist in psychological clinical traumatology (ESTSS Certificate and an EMDR specialist) for individuals and organisations. He is an expert witness with the Academy of Experts within the area of Clinical Psychology, Psychotherapy and Trauma Psychology. His membership number with the Academy of Experts is: 3707.

About Me

Dr Richard Sherry
I am a Consultant Chartered Clinical Psychologist HCPC Reg., and BPS CPsychol, FBPsS; a UKCP Reg. Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist; I am a BPS Chartered Coaching Psychologist. I am a specialist in psychological clinical traumatology (ESTSS Cert and an EMDR specialist) and I have run the Clinical Psychology Section for the US Military Inpatient’s Service for more than 7 years. I have had specialist post graduate training in Ethics, specializing in Disaster Ethics, I have completed specialist training in Clinical Neuropsychology (PG Dip, Med Sci), and Organizational Consultancy (MA) and a MSc on Occupational Psychology. I have completed the Fellowship in Wilderness Medicine Training (FAWM) where I have specialized in high trauma, low resource environments, and deep space psychology, of which I have a book published by Routledge. I have worked as the Associate Course Director and Lecturer on Complex PTSD for Confer’s Course on Psychopathology. I lecture at Regent’s University and with AGIP in psychoanalysis and psychotherapy. Much of my lifetime’s work is in understanding how to reverse cycles of trauma to develop healthier and more compassionate lives and consciousness the world over and beyond.
