I am a family and systemic psychotherapist. I work with individuals, couples and families, including sibling groups. If you contact me to inquire about therapy, I would usually suggest an initial discussion on the phone to think about why you are considering therapy and whether I might be able to help you. In our first meeting we would agree what we will talk about in sessions together. I have a flexible approach to my work, but always with a relational and relationship focus. I think it is important for therapists to both acknowledge the impacts of distressing experiences and develop a sense of hopefulness and optimism about the future.
In addition to working as an individual therapist, I also work in a partnership with trusted colleagues to offer services to individuals, couples and families where violence has occurred in relationships. We accept referrals from private individuals and from organisations. For more information see www.relationalthird.com.
