My main approach is Transactional Analysis. In my work, I integrate learnings from other modalities I added to my training along the way, mainly EMDR and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy.
Like most people I work with, I’ve moved countries a few times, I’ve been figuring out how to raise my kids internationally, and I’ve met obstacles to continuing my career as I moved around. But I learned the value of therapy well before living abroad, as a young adult when I went through a sudden and crushing loss.
My own experience of healing in therapy and my curiosity about what connects people lead me to pursue my training and become the therapist I am today. It has also helped me navigate periods of loneliness, losses and overwhelm of big transitions, the guilt of living far away from loved ones, and the challenges of raising my kids abroad.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
