I am very collaborative and much intergrative in my approach. I use Cognitive Analytic Psychotherapy as a foundation towards shared understanding of client's difficulties in terms of their internalised patterns of relating to themselves, others and the world at large that back fire on them , and prevent them from leading a life that feels meaningful and fulfilling. I also offer CBT, DBT, CATT for complex PTSD, Rewind Trauma Therapy, Mantra for anorexia, gestalt therapy, schema-focused therapy; I run my own DBT groups as well. I aim to empower and equipp clients to become their own therapists over time. My work is deeply relational and compasion based.
I am a Cognitive Analytic Psychotherapist as well as a chartered Counselling Psychologist of 20 years of experience and practice, with majority of my career spent in the NHS, mostly as a psychology lead. I have been in personal therapy myself for a number of years and I understand how anxiouss it may feel to consider therapy, how big of a comitment it is and how important it is to feel safe, heard and feel confident in your therapist's capacility to be of real help. I specialise in eating disorder, trauma, neurodiversity and personality disorders; however, I have worked with almost all mental health diagnosis, relational problems, additctions, self-esteem, loss, marital difficulties and much more, across all age and gender client groups. Apart from NHS setting I have worked in voluntarty sectors of all sorts and currently run my private practice full time. I am bi lingual and speak both English and Polish. I used to be a teacher and have come to UK as an young adult.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
