I work from a relational developmental approach which at it's core believes that both present and past relationships and experiences play a role in building who we are today and how we have come to learn to be with others. My way of working is very much about the relationship that we build being based on trust and safety, and definitely won't include us pouring over worksheets together or filling in dream diaries.
If it sounds like working with someone who priorities your need for validation, empathy and being listened to (all whilst having the odd laugh!) then please don't hesitate to get in touch and we'll see if I can help.
Hi, my names Rachael. I pride myself on offering a confidential and absolutely non-judgemental space for us to explore and untangle your feelings and struggles at your pace.
I have over 10 years of experience of working within mental health, and have built my practice on my personal principles of empathy, kindness, autonomy and authenticity.
Starting or re-starting therapy can be a scary process and it's really important that you feel comfortable with the 'right' therapist. This is why I offer a no obligation free initial phone call where we can discuss your needs and any questions you may have for me.
I am a Masters qualified Integrative Psychotherapist and I hold accreditation with the United Kingdom Council of Psychotherapy (UKCP), as well as membership of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I have full insurance cover and an Enhanced DBS check.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
