I offer long term or short term counselling sessions in various locations. Sessions usually last for 50 minutes on a weekly basis though both time and frequency may be negotiated. Reviews of the therapy will be periodically undertaken together. I am aim to be flexible with clients working patterns in order to accommodate those who do shift work.
I spent 5 years training at the Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute in Nottingham. I have a Post Graduate Diploma (level 7) in Person-Centred and Experiential Psychotherapy. I am accredited with the United Kingdom Council of Psychotherapists and a member of the BACP. Both these professional bodies ensure that my work remains ethically sound and that I follow robust procedures ensuring the best outcomes for my clients.
I have worked in the voluntary sector, higher education and private practice. In all these areas I have supported clients with issues such as; anxiety, trauma, childhood trauma, relationships, sexual/physical/mental abuse, bereavement and depression.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
