I work as an integrative counsellor – which means I use thoughts and ideas from different therapy models including both the humanistic (person-centred) and psychodynamic theories. My approach is client led, thus my response is unique to each client. Working as a psychotherapeutic counsellor places an importance on the relationship between my client and myself and this forms a vital and dynamic part of our work together.
Hi - welcome to my profile. I am a fully qualified, experienced and accredited psychotherapeutic counsellor and work with both adults and young people. The reasons that people seek counselling are many and varied (for example: anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, abuse, bereavement, life changes, family and relationship issues). Counselling and therapy not only provides an opportunity to work through current and past difficulties but can also provide an opportunity to explore ways of making positive changes in your life. I offer a warm, friendly, compassionate and confidential space where you can be listened to and where we can explore what is happening in your life at the moment. I hold a Diploma in Humanistic and Integrative Counselling from the Bath Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling (BCPC). In addition to my accreditation with UKCP I am also a member of BCPC and the Oxford Therapy Centre (OTS) (co-operative of therapists based in Oxford and Witney offering an assessment and referral service).
