My Approach

To begin I would want you to offer your own hopes and expectations for therapy. Taking that as a basis I would aim to work with you concentrating on the past – how you reached the place you are in today; the present – how can you work with the conditions in which you find yourself today and the future – what might you realise from your infinite potential as a human being.

About Me

I graduated from the Minster Centre Integrative Psychodynamic training (London) in 2000. Since then my work has centred on the perspectives of psychodynamic approaches, especially around attachment theory; the engagement ‘here and now’ through approaches such as Gestalt and bodywork and the transpersonal elements especially from a post-Jungian perspective. From that time I have continued to maintain a regular practice, presently at the LAPC centre, Belgravia. However, since the pandemic struck in 2020 I have also been working online and via telephone, which I continue to do. After 25 years working as a therapist I hold that the most important aspect of the work is to create a safe and confidential space where you can explore whatever issues you need to raise in order to better realise your enormous potential as a human being.

I work with

  • Individuals
  • Private healthcare referrals

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

For over 30 years I have worked with a number of clients suffering from addictions in a variety of areas including alcohol, drugs, pornography etc.
Understanding the paralysis and potential of grief lies at the root of my approach without losing the simple humanity that lies behind all bereavement.
In the demands of present day society an open and healthy attitude to sexuality is essential for our full functioning as human beings. The confidential space of therapy can be very healing for conflicts over sexual identity.
At present I work with clients from all religious traditions and none. I understand that spirituality is at the core of our identity as human beings and would not like to exclude it from the consulting room.
Having worked in the field for several decades, as trainer and therapist, I am always happy to work as a supervisor, especially for new therapists and those in training.
