As a Systemic Family Psychotherapist and Supervisor with a background in clinical psychology and with almost 20 years of experience in a variety of NHS mental health services, I am confident in helping my clients overcome a wide range of difficulties and have particular expertise in relationship problems. Often, our individual wellbeing impacts on our relationships and vice versa. I therefore focus on both of these areas in therapy to help clients feel better individually, but also feel more connected with others.
I see individuals, couples and families presenting with difficulties such as relationship and communication problems, low mood and depression, anxiety, stress, eating disorders and more severe mental health problems.
Further, I am qualified to provide:
- behavioural family therapy.
- mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, which includes meditation practices and is effective in treating depression, stress and anxiety.
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), an intervention to treat symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder.
