Part of my approach is humanistic and person-centered with the goal of helping my clients take control of their mental health and wellbeing.
I offer play therapy, which creates a space to interact with our subconscious selves through imagination. This is offered to both children and adults.
I also work with groups offering therapeutic art support and therapeutic story work.
I am trained in Cognitive Behavioural techniques for depression and PTSD, working in a more structured and directives way, depending on the needs of my clients.
I am an Educational Psychotherapist and I work with children, young people and their families. I am a genuine and down to earth person with a passion about my role as therapist. I am experienced in supporting children and young people with bereavement, experiences of abuse, bullying, self-harm, depression, barriers to learning, discovering their learning style and a technique that suits them best, separation and divorce, sibling rivalry, puberty.
Life can be a struggle sometimes and giving ourselves or our children the space to speak through experiences without judgement can offer an opportunity for healing and change.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
