When life feels overwhelming or uncertain, it can be hard to know where to start. You might feel stuck, flooded, or unable to find the words for the challenges you’re facing professionally, personally, or in your relationships.
Therapy offers something more than talking to a friend, a family member (or, let’s be honest, generative AI) and you don’t need to have a clear story, or even know exactly what you want from the process to begin.
It is a confidential, collaborative space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace—somewhere you can feel truly listened to, without judgment or pressure.
Through being met with presence and humility, people often find they can begin to reconnect with their own values and strengths. Over time, this collaborative relationship can help you feel less alone with what you are carrying—helping you move through your life and relationship with steadier footing and a sense of purpose.
HOW I WORK
My practice is grounded in the person-centred tradition, which means I believe change is neither forced nor imposed; it grows naturally from being met with understanding, empathy, and presence. I trust your inner sense of what needs attention, even when it feels unclear at first.
The cornerstone of my work is humility. Rather than to ‘fix’ you or impose an agenda, I am here to work alongside you to understand your experience. In our sessions, we might make make room for:
— Contradictory or painful feelings that feel too difficult to share elsewhere.
— A vague sense that “something is off”, even if it isn’t clearly defined yet.
— The parts of your experience that feel “messy”, intense, or overwhelming.
Whatever you bring, I will listen closely, responding with care, curiosity, genuineness and careful attunement as your unique personal meanings emerge and evolve.
THE OUTCOME OF OUR WORK
Therapy can help reduce the distressing effects of depression, anxiety, and stress, often opening the door to a life lived with more enjoyment, pleasure, and vitality. Some people describe bringing a restored sense of openness, trust and respect to their relationships; others report making more effective and responsible decisions or generating new possibilities in their everyday interactions. Ultimately, this collaborative process helps you build the self-confidence to live more authentically—growing your capacity to think, feel, and act, with more creativity, purpose and passion.
TAKING THE NEXT STEP
Reaching out can take real courage, especially when things are feeling so raw or muddled. To help you decide if I am the right person to work with, I offer a free 50-minute initial exploratory session at my consulting rooms on Upper Street (N1).
This is simply a chance for us to meet face-to-face and see how it feels to talk. It’s an opportunity for you to experience the steady, confidential, and humble space I offer, and to see if it’s a good fit for what you are carrying. There is no pressure to continue; the focus is entirely on ensuring you feel comfortable and safe enough to share whatever you need to bring.
WORKING TOGETHER
If we decide to continue after our initial meeting, we will establish a regular weekly time and agree together on the fee and other professional boundaries.
I offer both short-term and open-ended therapy. Depending on what you want to achieve, we might decide on a fixed number of sessions or choose to work more flexible, reviewing progress as we go. Ultimately, the work and my time are yours, to be used in whatever way feels most helpful and growthful for you.
I hold an MSc (with Distinction) and a Clinical Diploma in Contemporary Person-Centred Psychotherapy from the Metanoia Institute. Since, 2018 I’ve worked across a range of community-based services in London, supporting clients through grief, trauma, and periods of major life transition. In my private practice, I work with a broad spectrum of experience—from those navigating deep distress to individuals who are already flourishing but wish to use therapy as a dedicated space for creative exploration and personal growth.
Prior to completing my clinical training I worked as an editor both in London (where I was born and currently live) and Paris (where I lived for over a decade). This background informs my appreciation for the power of language, and my research on the experience of metaphor in therapy was published in the peer-reviewed journal Person-Centered & Experiential Psychotherapies in 2023.
I also have a particular interest in experiences of creativity, identity, belonging, exile and migration.
I am a registered member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and follow their Code of Ethics and Professional Practice. I also attend regular clinical supervision and ongoing professional development to support me in offering safe, thoughtful, and emotionally attuned therapy.
