About Me

I work with individuals and couples, in both English and Welsh.

My Approach

I am a Psychodynamic Psychotherapist, drawing especially on Attachment Theory and the importance of the relationship in therapy.

I work with

  • Couples
  • Individuals

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

Feeling anxious is often a manifestation of not feeling safe in the world, possibly because our care givers were themselves anxious, because of trust being broken through abuse and because of loss. Therapy can help us to build our resilience.
Depression often has its roots in the past, though difficulties in the present might be the trigger. Sometimes there can be a harsh internalised voice which undermines us, and we are barely conscious we do it to ourselves. Talking with a therapist can help us to identify where our hurts lie and how to find compassion towards ourselves.
Many of our emotional and psychological difficulties arise out of our relationships with others, with ourselves and with our past. They can find their expression in our daily interactions with others. Therapy can help us to make sense of our current relationships through exploring those of the past.
