My theoretical orientation is broadly psychodynamic and systemic I the context of an embodied approach.
I am a UKCP registered Dance Movement Psychotherapist, Psychologist and Clinical Supervisor working in the National Health Service and in private practice in the United Kingdom. I work with a diverse range of patients/clients including those with serious mental illness and those recovering from trauma. I am involved nationally and internationally in the education and training of psychotherapists including Edgehill University, Essex University and the Tavistock Clinic in the UK, Babel Mental Health Services in Greece, Sant Anna University in Italy and Maltepe University, Turkey.
Over the last 22 years I have been involved in research projects in the National Health Service extending the applications of Dance Movement Psychotherapy to schizophrenia, depression and body distress disorder/medically unexplained symptoms. My research work forms part of the National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE) Guidelines for schizophrenia.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
