In my practice I use elements from various therapy models in order to develop a therapeutic plan that will be tailor-made to your personality and unique needs as every person is unique.
When you initially contact me, I will answer any questions you may have about therapy, how I work and the next step.
Then we can book an initial appointment to explore what may bring you to therapy and discuss specific issues in more detail. At the end of the initial meeting, I will offer you feedback about what you have shared with me, and together we can think of possible options of therapeutic support.
During therapy, we can explore past events that may relate to current difficulties. This way, we can identify specific areas, i.e., relationships, work, self-esteem, life goals, where you want to introduce meaningful changes.
I use aspects from various therapeutic models such as Analytic Psychotherapy, Person-Centre Approach and Mentalization-Based Treatment. The aim is to create a therapeutic environment that is tailored to your specific needs.
At times life can feel challenging and we may wish to have psychological support to make sense of it and consider healthier choices.
It may be about ongoing relationship difficulties, feeling unappreciated, having negative thinking or anger issues.
You may experience job dissatisfaction, low self-esteem, or loneliness.
You may also feel that past traumatic experiences keep affecting the quality of your life, you may have thoughts about self-harming, or be concerned about addictive behaviours.
It could also be about the wish to rediscover yourself, find purpose in life or develop new meaningful personal and professional goals.
When it comes to couple therapy the focus is on the quality of communication between you and your partner, whether and how the two of you spend quality time together, and what keeps happening that creates challenges in the relationship.
My aim as a psychotherapist is to provide a safe, supportive and non-judgmental space within which we examine together challenging issues that may prevent you from living a more fulfilling life. I offer individual and couple therapy.
