Having trained in multiple disciplines I am quite pluralistic tending towards an approach which is practical, relational and philosophical. I embrace an attitude which accepts our contradictory nature and the challenge to find acceptance and predictability in a largely unpredictable and uncontrollable world.
Hello - I offer a safe, creative and supportive space in which to explore your life in all its complexity and challenges. My work is both philosophical and relational and I hope to help my clients develop awareness through gentle reflection whilst challenging the fixed beliefs and patterns that might hinder individuals from living more satisfying, enjoyable or exciting lives.
After many years of practice in Transcendental Meditation and personal development programmes, I trained in hypnotherapy and NLP. I subsequently went on to train in gestalt counselling and have a BACP accredited diploma from The Gestalt Centre and a diploma in Organisational Gestalt from the Metanoia Institute. Further to this I trained in existential psychotherapy to doctoral level at the New School of Psychotherapy and Counselling (NSPC). This included training in existential supervision and group leadership. Beyond this I continue to develop my skills and awareness and have trained in more somatic approaches and EMDR/BLAST and have worked world leading trauma experts in a best practice private clinic in Oxfordshire. I consider my practice to be phenomenological, creative and relational.
