I am an Integrative Psychotherapist (Transpersonal). The benefits of training in the Integrative modality allow me to look at presenting issues though the existential, psychodynamic, humanistic and transpersonal lenses, thus better skilled to be available for the clients therapeutic needs. Equally adept at working with high cognitions and emotional (heart) issues, I work empathically and in an approachable and friendly manner.
I have been in the UK for a decade, prior to which I lived in India. Before embarking on the journey of being a full time psychotherapist, I worked in the hospitality sector, running my family restaurants. Alongside running my family business in India, I had also helped establish a drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre in India, working in various capacities there over the years as a Recovery champion, to eventually being the recovery programme director. Moving to UK in 2014, I embarked on an in-depth psychotherapy (level 7 diploma) training further adding to my therapeutic knowledge and skills. I also have a MSc in Addictions from Kings College, London. Most of my work as a psychotherapist is for NHS Practitioner Health supporting the mental health of healthcare professionals. When I am not being a psychotherapist, I am involved in running a zero waste, plastic free store in my village.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
