I am a counselling psychologist working with both individuals and couples. I offer a safe, neutral, non-judgmental space to explore any thoughts or feelings that have been prominent in your life, whether in the past, the present or quite possibly both. Together we work to create a therapeutic relationship, meeting as equals to empower and encourage you to explore and recognise patterns of behaviour that may be helpful for you to address. We can work together to set new, achievable goals for a different future and to implement change.
The counselling relationship can be a great source of support and relief, through difficult times. Having someone there who understands, listens and does not judge is very powerful and can result in lasting change. We often emerge more confident, resilient, and with a sense of peace.
Life can be so busy, leaving little or no time for nurturing our mental health. It’s understandable not to know where to turn next and it’s important to know you’re not alone.
Therapy is the ultimate in self-care.
I am a Registered Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) having demonstrated high standards of competent practice by working under their ethical framework. I am committed to ongoing professional development and my work is fully insured. I hold an enhanced DBS certificate, which means I am suitable to work with teenagers and adults in a therapeutic capacity.
