I am a qualified UKCP psychotherapist, counsellor and HCPC registered arts therapist with over 16 years of experience. I work from a trauma informed, psychodynamic, attachment, transactional analysis, gestalt and neurobiological perspective. In practice that means I am interested in hearing your story, about your early experiences and relationships and how this impacts your everyday life now.
I am trained in talking therapy which can be useful for people to explore their problems. Arts therapy can be helpful for people who find it difficult to put their experiences into words or for particular times in the therapy process.
As well as working with people born in the UK, I also have experience with clients from mainland Europe and South America and the complexities that come with creating a life in a different country.
I am a university lecturer, trainer, and group facilitator. Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked in the charity, voluntary and higher education sectors. I have worked in a range of settings including the NHS, university student service, women's and fostering agencies and in different charities.
I am only working online at present.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
