I have over twenty years’ experience of short term, solution focused counselling and long term psychotherapy in the NHS, private practice, employee assistance programs, domestic violence charities and in Rape Crisis South London for over fifteen years. I am a qualified supervisor working with individuals and groups of mixed modalities.
I have extensive experience of working with a wide range of issues including depression, bereavement, stress and panic attacks, relationships, workplace concerns, borderline personality disorders and cross cultural problems. I specialize in sexual trauma, PTSD and run groups for survivors. I can offer therapy in Urdu and Hindi and can understand Punjabi.
My therapeutic approach is Integrative drawing primarily on psychodynamic and relational models where the client and therapist’s relationship is central to the work.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
