I have extensive experience working with clients not only through play therapy and talking therapy but integrate EMDR, body awareness and symbolism, using art materials, clay and sand into my clinical work to facilitate unconscious emotional processes. My special interest is in working with attachment, trauma, loss and bereavement and I am providing support not only for the child, but involve the family system as much as possible into the therapeutic process in order to allow the bonds between the family members being strengthened.
I am a qualified and experienced Integrative Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist. Previous to the MA in Child Psychotherapy, I have been trained in Switzerland as Psychomotor Therapist, with focus on Play Therapy and Body Work for Children and young adults. My interest in working therapeutically grew through my first career as a primary school teacher. I followed this up with studies in psychology, developmental psychology, and special educational needs. This included extensive therapeutic training to equip me with the necessary skills to support children and adults on their journey to explore their thoughts and emotions, their problems and difficulties.
