Some of the reasons people come to see me are to get help with anxiety; depression; emotional difficulties brought on by troublesome relationships; family issues; work stress; bereavements; or concerns about an abusive or a traumatic past. However, there are many other reasons people enlist the help of a psychotherapist, and sometimes the cause of general unhappiness with oneself or one's life can be difficult to pinpoint without the kind of help a trained psychotherapist can provide.
I am a registered provider for private medical insurers including; PruHealth, Aviva, Vitality Health, WPA and BUPA.
What happens at the first meeting?
The purpose of this first session is to give us a chance to meet each other and get a sense of how we might work together. We will talk about what brings you to therapy and what you are hoping to resolve or achieve. You have an opportunity to ask any questions you might have about the different therapy options. At the end of this session you will hopefully have the information you need to help you decide what is the next step for you.
I am a psychoanalytical psychotherapist and have many years experience of working in private practice and within the NHS. I offer a professional, safe and confidential psychotherapy practice.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
