My Approach

As an integrative psychotherapist I tailor my approach
to individual clients’ needs, according to their unique life experiences and
preferences, to help them develop a greater sense of self-awareness, self-
compassion, and resilience. I accept everyone for who they are and am a
strong believer that while hurtful experiences within relationships can cause
pain and damage, the very nature of human connection provides the
potential for healing and growth. This healing happens in a therapeutic
relationship between the therapist and the client by processing past hurts,
and rebuilding trust.
My work is informed by the recent research in neuroscience,
attachment theory and is trauma informed.
I am trained to work with a broad range of tools including talking and
play/arts therapy. I incorporate into my work the principles of
psychodynamic psychotherapy, play therapy, sand play therapy, Gestalt,
CBT techniques and mindfulness-based therapy. I also offer EMDR therapy
which can help with a range of issues, especially in processing past
traumas.
My goal is to create a safe, non-judgemental and confidential space where
clients can delve into their emotions, thoughts, and experiences on an
emotional, intellectual, spiritual, and physical level.
I see all my psychotherapy clients in person.
