You are welcome to speak to me on the telephone and ask any questions, then to arrange an initial session, which is for a full hour (not 50 minutes). My practice is centred on a transpersonal perspective - the sense of some experience of ourselves which is more than, but also includes, our everyday consciousness. My approach to this therapeutic work is to support and strengthen the mind/body's ability to heal itself through eventually finding a natural and totally individual point of stillness and equilibrium from which to function. It is possible to go deep into difficult and distressing areas and to feel that there is a safety net of support present, which you then make your own and carry with you.
I am a transpersonal psychotherapist with a practice near Canada Water, South East London. I have a particular interest in the interface between Mind, Body and Spirit. My original background as a musician and then trainings in both Transpersonal Psychology (with Ian Gordon-Brown and Barbara Somers) and also Craniosacral Therapy have enabled me to develop my deep interest in people and their unique experiences - the unfolding story of their lives. As you tell your story, insights emerge and energy which has been stuck, maybe in out-moded beliefs about yourself or persistent body symptoms, can be reintegrated in an enabling way.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
