My Approach

I offer a radical, body-based approach to personal transformation. You already possess everything you need within you; my role is to help you unlock it. Together, we work on nervous system regulation and somatic safety, creating a space where you can explore new possibilities without the constraints of fear, shame, or guilt.

By tapping into your somatic intelligence, we’ll break through old patterns and conditioning, allowing you to lead your life from a place of inner strength and clarity. You’ll discover how to use your body’s natural wisdom to navigate anxiety, self-doubt, and life transitions, building not just resilience but a deeper connection to your true self.

Through our work, you may find yourself developing increased resilience, resourcefulness, and a greater capacity to meet life in its full expression. This process is about transforming how you engage with the world, not just emotionally but physically—living with more presence, authenticity, and ease.

I offer online and in-person sessions. For more details, visit my website at www.myintegrationspace.com.

About Me

About Me
I am Milena Kadziela, MA, a Gestalt psychotherapist, trauma-informed somatic practitioner, and embodied leadership coach. My work is rooted in the body, creative, and designed for individuals ready to step into their fullest, most authentic selves. I help clients cultivate a lived, embodied presence, reclaim their authority, and move beyond societal norms to embrace their true purpose. Specialising in post-traumatic growth, life transitions, imposter syndrome, and self-esteem, I guide you in discovering how to lead your life from within.

Using an integrative approach that combines Gestalt psychotherapy, somatic (body-based) intelligence, and psychological astrology, we go beyond the mind to access the deep wisdom stored in your body. This is where real, lasting transformation begins—not just in changing how you think, but in how you inhabit your body and live your life.

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

In Gestalt therapy, we understand that anxiety and excitement are closely related experiences, often two sides of the same coin. Anxiety can arise when the body struggles to hold the energy of excitement or when we’re uncertain how to channel it. Rather than treating anxiety as something to eliminate, I work with clients to build capacity in the body to hold both the intensity of excitement and the discomfort of uncertainty. Using somatic practices like breathwork, grounding, and nervous system regulation, we create space in the body for these sensations. By learning how to safely experience and contain these heightened states, clients move from overwhelm to a more grounded, empowered sense of presence.
Depression, when viewed through a holistic lens, can be understood as a signal from the body, mind, and soul calling for deep rest—a "deep-rest." It may be that the system is putting the brakes on aspects of life that no longer serve, forcing a pause so that the self can recalibrate. In our work, I integrate somatic practices that reawaken the body's sense of aliveness, helping clients reconnect with their own energy and vitality. Psychologically, we explore what parts of the self may be suppressed or denied, and soulfully, we listen to what this call for rest is really asking for. By attuning to the body's need for rest and renewal, clients can discover what is truly aligned with their authentic self and begin to restore a sense of purpose and joy.
Struggles with identity—whether related to self-esteem, imposter syndrome, or transitions—are often accompanied by feelings of shame, confusion, and being lost. In my work, I hold the belief that these moments of confusion are not failures but invitations to explore a deeper, more authentic version of yourself. When we make space for and trust the lost and confused parts of ourselves, we often arrive at a place that is truer and more aligned than anything our old selves could have constructed. Somatically, we explore how identity is held or constrained in the body, and we work with this to allow more freedom and expression. Psychologically, we examine the narratives that shape your self-concept, while soulfully, we invite the emergence of your deeper truth. This process leads to a more integrated and authentic sense of self, allowing you to step into a fuller, more confident version of who you are.
In the realm of relationships, our connection with our own bodies serves as a powerful tool for communicating our needs and boundaries. By attuning to our somatic experience, we gain insight into our emotional states and desires, enabling us to express ourselves authentically. Many of us carry attachment and bonding patterns from our past, which can shape how we relate to ourselves and others. By recognizing and working with these embodied patterns, we tap into our inner wisdom, cultivating a more flexible approach to relationships. This journey encourages us to embrace vulnerability as a strength, fostering deeper, more meaningful connections with ourselves and those around us. As we develop a more integrated relationship with our bodies, we become better equipped to set healthy boundaries and engage in authentic exchanges, paving the way for relationships that are both nurturing and transformative. Ultimately, this process fosters resilience and trust, allowing us to engage in relationships with an open heart and a grounded sense of self, transforming them into sources of joy and growth.
Trauma occurs when our bodies are unable to fully process an experience at the time—whether it was too much, too soon, or too little. These unprocessed experiences get stored in the body, leading to patterns of dysregulation and emotional distress. My trauma-informed approach centres on creating space, safety, and slowness, allowing the body to gently revisit and metabolise what it couldn’t handle before. By gradually restoring the nervous system’s natural rhythm, the body can complete what was interrupted and begin its own recovery. We work slowly, honouring your body’s innate wisdom, so that trauma can be healed from the inside out, restoring a sense of wholeness and vitality.
