My approach is from a psychodynamic perspective, drawing on Transactional Analysis and Relational Psychoanalysis and the latest research in neuroscience and attachment theory. I provide a safe, confidential and non judgemental space for you to talk, so that together we can explore the difficulties you are facing and help uncover the underlying issues which might be causing some of the difficulties, and also any self-defeating patterns that may have arisen as a consequence of life’s events, and together we work to resolve these so that you can move forward and enjoy life to the full.
I am a qualified and experienced Relational Transactional Analysis Psychotherapist (MSc, CTA) Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, Relationship therapist and clinical supervisor (PTSTA) with over ten years' experience of helping clients and couples to make the changes they want in their lives.
I work with couples, individuals and groups, offering both short term counselling and longer term psychotherapy and I work with various levels of emotional distress and trauma, including anxiety, depression, personality disorders, loss & bereavement, and relationship difficulties.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
