I know first sessions can be challenging to I try to make them as safe as possible. In addition, as a number of my clients are neurodivergent and can find the long silences of traditional therapy distressing I try to curate the experience a bit more to make it that little bit safer.
In addition I work with a number of private health care providers including AXA, Aviva and Cigna. To find out more please get in touch, either by phone / text 07767787739 or email meirion.todd@gmail.com
I'm an experienced and highly effective psychotherapist with more than 10 years experience, working from Queen Victoria Street in the on Tuesday and Pimlico on Wednesdays, both my consulting rooms are 5 minutes from the tube. In addition I work online and from my home in Chiswick the rest of the week.
As an integrative psychotherapist I draw on a number of approaches and enjoy working with a wide spectrum of clients. My core training was existential which teachers us that crisis can be an opportunity to change when we get the right support, however I also draw on psychodynamic and attachment theory which helps us to make sense of our family dynamic and build safer relationships today. I am also passionate about teaching practical neuroscience, which hand in hand with the Buddhist practices of mindfulness and compassion, can help us become more gentle with ourselves in a world that is often quite the opposite.
I've more than five years experience, working in a number of different contexts, initially as a University Counsellor at London Metropolitan University, then within the NHS working with G.P. referrals for the London Boroughs of Croydon and Lambeth. In recent years I have run a successful private practice in central London.
I've more than 10 years experience as a psychotherapist, initially in the NHS and now in private practice, and have an M.A. in Existential Psychotherapy and Counselling from the University of Sheffield, am an accredited member of the UKCP and a registered member of the BACP and abide by the ethical codes of both organisations.
In addition, I identify as gay and autistic and love working with clients who have been harmed by our society's one size all solutions to human distress.
